SYNOPSIS

Conversations With Other Women tells the compelling story of a couple whose reunion at a wedding reception ignites a mysterious attraction for each other that is deeper and more emotionally perilous than they are willing to admit. At a New York City wedding reception two guests, seemingly strangers, become entangled in a sexually-charged battle of wits. But as the night carries on in a cigarette smoke haze, the nameless couple's repartee deepens to reveal the passion of their two decades past love affair. Escaping the party for a hotel room, the two are soon gripped by their mutual past and the individual choices that lead them to the present.

TRIVIA

#- Aaron Eckhart and Helena Bonham Carter shot 82 pages of dialogue in only 12 days of principal photography.

#- Aaron Eckhart wore his own Armani suit and Calvin Klein underwear as part of his costume, while Helena Bonham Carter wore her own Prada shoes.

#- The final shot in the movie was the only one captured with a single camera. Aaron Eckhart and Helena Bonham Carter were shot in the back of one taxi on set. In post production, the shot was digitally divided in two; digital movement was added for each car and two separate background plates were composited to create the illusion of different taxi interiors.

QUOTES

Woman: The illusion of effortlessness requires a great effort indeed.

Woman: Tell me, how old is umm... Sarah the Dancer.
Man: Oh, she's a... she's a college graduate.
Woman: Her age?
Man: She's a recent college graduate.
Woman: Yeah, like 21.
Man: 22...but she's 23 on August the 12th!
Woman: 23 on August the 12th... Well, that's a beautiful age.
Man: Why would you wanna know?
Woman: You know why I wanted to know.
Man: Maybe I do. Say it anyway.
Woman: I wanted to know because I wanted to know. I wanted know if you were flirting with me.
Man: What does Sarah's age have to do with it?
Woman: I am the same age as you, I think, and a man, my age, who prefers 23 on August the 12th might not flirt with someone who is... lets just say 15 years past 23 on August the 12th.

Man: If I told you I still loved you, that I always loved you, that I loved you to distraction, would you leave him?
Woman: No.

Woman: There are no happy endings in our future.
